Cleanings and Preventions

One-Stop Dental Care

We recommend preventive care appointments every 6 months for our healthy dental patients. If you suffer from gum disease, these visits may need to occur a bit more frequently to keep your smile healthy.

Exams and Digital X-Rays

Dr. Snyder will assess your smile’s function, bite relationships, and screen for signs of tooth decay or gum disease. Digital x-rays enhance our disease screening process, as they allow Dr. Snyder to view areas that are not visible clinically.

Professional Cleanings

One of our Registered Dental Hygienists will thoroughly clean your teeth of all plaque, tartar and stain. They will also review home care methods that can help you prevent gum disease and tooth decay.

Cavity Screening

In addition to an exam and dental x-rays, our Elkhart dentist also uses advanced cavity detection equipment like CariVu and Diagnodent. Both of these systems can pinpoint early cavities before they are visible with other methods

Fluoride

Mouth Guards and Bite Splints

If you are an athlete, grind your teeth while you sleep, suffer from bruxism or even TMJ disorder - a custom bite splint or mouth guard can be one of the best protective appliances that you invest in!
